Remembering Linda Eldon: A Legacy of Love, Community & Giving

Remembering Linda Eldon: A Legacy of Love, Community & Giving

As children across The Bahamas prepare to return to the classroom, Graham Real Estate takes a moment each year to remember someone who will forever hold a very special place in the GRE family: Linda Eldon.

Linda was part of Graham Real Estate for many years, and her warmth, generosity and genuine care for others helped shape the spirit of our company. When she sadly passed away in 2018, she left behind a legacy that extended far beyond her professional life.

Family was at the centre of Linda’s world, but her compassion reached throughout her community. She believed deeply in giving back, particularly when it came to supporting children and young people. Linda dedicated much of her time to The Ranfurly Homes for Children, an organization especially close to her heart.

About the Ranfurly Homes for Children

The Ranfurly Homes for Children has been part of the fabric of the Bahamian community for generations. Established in the 1950s by Hermione, Countess of Ranfurly, after she became aware of homeless children in Nassau following a devastating downtown fire, the Home officially opened its doors in 1956. For seven decades, Ranfurly has provided a safe, structured and caring home for Bahamian children in need, with education and preparing young people for their futures remaining an important part of its work.

Continuing Linda’s Legacy Through Education

In the years since Linda’s passing, Graham Real Estate has been proud to continue supporting The Ranfurly Homes for Children in her memory through its Sponsor a Child’s Education Program.

Education can have a profound impact on a young person’s future, but the cost extends well beyond the classroom. Each year, GRE makes a donation, which supports the educational needs of one student.  It is a practical investment that helps ensure a child has the resources and support they need to walk into the classroom prepared, confident and ready to learn.

For our team, this annual sponsorship means much more than donating. It is a way of continuing something Linda cared deeply about and ensuring that the generosity and community spirit she brought to the GRE family continues to make a difference.

Being Deeply & Proudly Rooted in The Bahamas means more than knowing our islands and communities. It means supporting them, giving back and investing in the people who will shape their future.

Linda may no longer be with us, but her influence remains very much a part of who we are.

Forever in our hearts, Linda. You will always be part of the heart of the GRE family. 🤍
