Welcome to Eastern Road
The Spot for Ocean-Lovers
The eastern side of New Providence is varied and full of character. This area stretches from East Bay Street until the point where Prince Charles Drive hits the sea. In the late 1700s, many of the Bahamas’ first colonial governors kept summer homes on the east side of the island, and you will still find old fort ruins here.
With the ocean at your doorstep and distance from the city, East New Providence is also a great place to raise kids. The prestigious St. Andrews International School is located just off Yamacraw Hill Road.
Palm Cay has become one of the most modern and stylish places to live on the island. There are 300 luxurious townhomes, and its residents benefit from a host of amenities including a 194-slip deep water marina, a clubhouse, two swimming pools, watersports, a beach bar, fine dining, tennis courts, playgrounds, Starbucks, and spa treatments. Furthermore, Palm Cay boasts one of the top boating communities in Nassau thanks to its direct access to the Exumas.
This side of the island is especially popular among boating enthusiasts. You’ll find both the Royal Nassau Sailing Club and the Nassau Yacht Club headquarters on the northeast coastline.
So, whether you’re a family with kids, a yachting enthusiast or just looking for a quiet area to live near the water, East New Providence offers excellent options when it comes to real estate.
