Eastern Road

The eastern side of New Providence is varied and full of character. This area stretches from East Bay Street until the point where Prince Charles Drive hits the sea. In the late 1700s, many of the Bahamas’ first colonial governors kept summer homes on the east side of the island, and you will still find old fort ruins here.

 

Today, Eastern Road is still a desirable place to live, and many homes with amazing sea views command millions of dollars. However, there are properties for all budgets located on the east side of New Providence.

 

With the ocean at your doorstep and distance from the city, East New Providence is also a great place to raise kids. The prestigious St. Andrews International School is located just off Yamacraw Hill Road.
